Due to server maintenance last week, things didn’t go as planned, resulting in a full platform outage on Tuesday February 25th from 3 PM until midnight. While we were able to recover the system, major features like online and offline status were not functioning correctly.
Sorry that it took us so long to communicate, but even our newsletter tool was not working. 🤯
And as if the timing couldn’t be more dramatic—our new Head of Tech became a father at the exact same time! 🙂
On Thursday morning, we had to go offline once more to restart our systems step by step.
Since Thursday 27. 6pm, we have finally been fully back online. 🎉😃🍾
We can’t tell you how sorry we are for these 50 hours of downtime. 😨

To summarise what happened: Our storage system suddenly malfunctioned when we added more servers. Since crucial parts of our infrastructure were stored there as well, it caused a cascade of problems, resulting in a long downtime and recovery. 😵 Some lessons were learned the hard way.
Rest assured, we are doing everything we can to prevent another situation like this. If further downtime is necessary, we will announce it in advance. This one definitely belongs in the WTF category.
